Artists, Performers & Musicians
We are looking for creative ideas, theatrical performances, and captivating artworks to temporarily transform the natural landscape of the Nepean River and the river foreshore.
Successful ideas, performances and installations will form part of the festival’s weekend program as a celebration of River, Environment, Arts & Lifestyle.
Real aims to engage, inspire curiosity and create bold and memorable experiences for festival patrons and we are seeking creatives, visual artists, producers, innovators, performers, designers and anyone with big creative ideas to submit their concepts.

We are particularly interested in installations and works that are:
- Inclusive and immersive; where festival patrons can interact with the artwork and with each other, and become completely engrossed in the experience
- Site specific; focus on the environmental space or a connection to the environment
- Innovative; evoking curiosity and the unpredictable
- Bold, fun and creative, outside the box thinking
This is an open call for proposals from local, interstate and international artists. You don’t have to be a permanent resident in Australia or Australian Citizen to apply.
Selection Criteria
All applications will be assessed on the following criteria:
- quality of performance, artwork or installation
- cost of proposed activity / works
- suitability for festival target audience, and
- fits the overall festival theme and vision.
